Want to bless a child or a family with a scholarship?
Trail Life & AHG Troop MI-1613
is off to an AMAZING start. Join us Wednesday nights from 6:15-7:45 to experience an intentional Christian scouting ministry.
What is Trail Life USA and American Heritage Girls?
The Trail Life USA mission is to guide generations of courageous young men to honor God, lead with integrity, serve others, and experience outdoor adventure.
American Heritage Girls (AHG) is a faith-based character development program for all girls five to 18 years of age. AHG is dedicated to the mission of building women of integrity through service to God, family, community and country. With emphasis on Christian values and family involvement, girls participate in Badge programs, service projects, leadership opportunities, and outdoor experiences.
Troop meetings will be on Wednesday nights from 6:15-7:45 during the school year.
We will meet at Oakfield Baptist Church.
Annual registration fee per child - $26 (goes straight to Trail Life or AHG)
T-shirt - TL $12 / AHG $8
Official Uniform & Book - TL $62.5 / AHG $57
Fundraising will be done to cover additional costs (one big fundraising event a year)
Pants, socks, hats, belts, and other OPTIONAL items may be purchased by the parents.
***Scholarships are available***
We have trained staff who love teaching and leading this program. However, parents are encouraged to take an active role in the program, whether by attending meetings, completing in-home activities, teaching a specific skill at an outing, or just providing encouragement. We encourage parents to become Registered Adults so they can provide additional support for their child and Troop when needed.
Will my BSA achievements transfer to Trail Life?
Most will, although additional work may need to be done to meet our program requirements.
Everything that you have done in BSA will check off any similar requirement in Trail Life USA, so your work will not have been in vain. However, depending on exactly which BSA Merit Badges you have earned along the way, you may or may not immediately meet the requirements for the next rank at Trail Life USA. But in the end, every Trailman will be responsible for completing the same Trail Life USA advancement requirements, whether they complete them at Trail Life USA, or whether they transfer those requirements in from BSA.
